Electronic Travel Authorisation

If you are a national of a country that doesn't require a visa, you need to acquire the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) in order to visit Canada.

Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)

If you intend to visit Canada temporarily for a vacation or any other short-term purpose, you are required to obtain a Canada Visitor Visa. This visa category permits foreign nationals to enter Canada and stay for a duration of up to six months.

Transit Visa

If you’re travelling through Canada to reach another country, you may need to obtain a transit visa.

Facilitation Visa

The rule is for all Canadian citizens, including holders of dual nationality, to present a valid passport when travelling. If you’re a Canadian citizen with dual nationality, there may be exceptional circumstances when you can travel to Canada without a Canadian passport.

Super Visa

If you are a parent or grandparent of a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, you can apply for a Super Visa that allows you to visit them for up to five years at a time for a period of up to 10 years.

Temporary Resident Permit (TRP)

If you are looking to travel to Canada but find yourself in a situation where you might be inadmissible for criminal, health, financial, or any other reason, you may be able to apply for a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP).
